SUPERB Chelsea raised / red anchor period PAIR of baskets. C.1753/55 I cant find a pair anywhere, but assume there must be. POSSIBLY EVEN UNIQUE They have never been on the open market, as they came from a sale that was not on the net, and came from a big house clearance, that was not even sold as Chelsea. Then they went into our private collection more years ago than we can remember. They both have a very faint hairline down one side, and one goes across base. Not easy to see, except upon close examination inside.

As per my label, the only example I can compare, is with the single one sold Christies 2004 for £19,120. An unfair comparison admittedly, as that one I believe was either perfect, or near perfect.
