A VERY BEAUTIFUL and LARGE lady dancer figure, C.1755 modeled by J.J. Kandler. VERY RARE LARGE SIZE AT 7 1/2 ins high. I normally see the smaller figures at 4 to 5 1/2 ins high.. Although any pre 1760 Meissen is rare. WONDERFUL STRONG COLOURS AND FULL OF MOVEMENT typical of the best of Kandler's work. She is probably from one of the series, such as the street traders.

MARKED with tiny blue crossed swords to the back of the base.

CONDITION:- I see no damage as such, but there is restoration to her hat ,arms, and two pieces of dress she is holding. I have rarely seen this model, and even with restoration, I note the large fine figures like this all into the thousands of pounds, as they are beautiful, rare and desirable.
