SUPERB early Meissen teapot and ORIGINAL COVER, with Heroldt harbour scenes C.1740

A SUPERB early Meissen teapot and ORIGINAL COVER, with Heroldt harbour scenes C.1740. Just WONDERFUL in real life, which I hope you may be able to see in my photos. These very rare early lids are also highly sough after, and in my opinion worth a few hundred on their own. Note the early Meissen feint blue crossed swords mark to underside of base, typical of pieces before C.1760.

CONDITION:- EXCELLENT CONSIDERING 280 years old. All I can see are two tiny tiny chips to the underside of the rim of the lid. Then, I assume the spout may have been made up of a silver one. I think that is real silver, and extremely old. I know that Meissen did ormulu mounted pieces, but this is not ormulu.
