A BEAUTIFUL Meissen figure of a young man, C.1755. Modelled by J.J.Kandler together with Peter Reineike. I think he is a street trader and is very similar to the figures from the Cries De Paris series. A highly sought after series from early Meissen. Look at the strong colours and shape of the underside of the base, which are typical of this series, and Meissen before 1760.

Size:- 5 1/4 ins high.

Condition:- VERY GOOD considering how vulnerable this is, and age. To be 100% accurate, I note end of stick missing, and some ends of his fingers missing. Never touched, and it would be very easy to restore. Please ask, as I have a lady who also does work for a major museum in London.
