A BEAUTIFUL and LARGE Meissen coffeepot and ORIGINAL COVER, C.1740. So many times lids are matched from another piece. The lovely flowers on this are quite botanical looking, and that purple highlights are also a lovely touch. Also, that brown outline to the panels shows that this is a slightly earlier piece and of fine quality. One of the largest early coffeepots I have seen.

MARKED with the early feint crossed swords mark to the underside of the base.

CONDITION:- It has been fine hairlined around the body and on the lid, which has been restored to a museum standard, and not easy to see.
